ITV 121 | Lockdown Leadership: 5 Themes That Shine {Theme 1: Grace + Kindness}

The doorbell rang. She pushed herself away from her computer screen where she had been glued since the early morning hours. She was exhausted. The world was shut down. Who could possibly be at the door?

When she opened the door, there was not a visitor in sight.

Instead, at her feet, were four yellow daffodils, wrapped in foil. A hand written note was attached.

It was a simple, inexpensive gesture, but in the midst of global uncertainty, it felt like a deep breath.

It was from her boss.

This small act was one of leadership grace. A type of leadership that is thriving during uncertainty and inspiring their teams to do the hard work and make it through well.

ISOGO TV PODCAST EPISODE 121 LOCKDOWN LEADERSHIP THEME 1 GRACE + KINDNESS ::

We are kicking off a series today that will run for the month, called Lockdown Leadership and the 5 Themes that Shine Through from the best of the best leaders.

This series came about by us asking — what are the best leaders doing right now? What did they do so well and learn {maybe the hard way} in this crazy world crisis, that they are carrying forward in new ways to help their teams in times that continue to be uncertain?

Because even in the midst of it all, the best leaders are still thriving.

In this series, I got to collaborate with the internationally known coach and consultant, Murray Guest.

As both of us have coached and worked with leaders over the past several months, FIVE themes have emerged that are making the best thrive, and even spurring them to make changes that they are keeping into the future.

Together, over this series, we’ll be unpacking the FIVE common themes:

  • Grace + Kindness
  • Communication
  • Individualization
  • Clarity
  • Wellbeing + Self-care

The first theme is a huge one, that surprised me a bit. It’s all about leadership, grace and kindness in tough times.

We define it, share some stories, pass on the best practices we’ve seen and even leave you with a couple ways to practice it in your own role as a leader.

So, watch+listen below or catch this EPISODE 121 on iTunes, YouTube, GooglePlay, Stitcher or Spotify.
